A Night Out For UHN Gala Raises Over $2.3M

The future of health care continues to strengthen as the University Health Network (UHN) Foundation welcomed a sold-out audience of supporters, philanthropists, community leaders, dignitaries and celebrities for its inaugural A Night Out for UHN, presented by Sprott Inc. at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto. The evening marked a successful début for what is set to become a signature fundraising event for the foundation. Co-chaired by UHN Foundation Board Members Kevin and Ann-Marie Hibbert, the gala surpassed its fundraising goal and generated more than $2.3 million in support of University Health Network (UHN), which is Canada’s #1-ranked hospital.

“Supporting A Night Out for UHN reflects our deep commitment to advancing world-class health care and innovation in Canada,” said Kevin Hibbert. “UHN is home to some of the brightest minds in medicine, and Sprott is proud to partner with UHN Foundation to help drive the discoveries and care that will shape the future of health care for patients across the country.”

More than 400 guests gathered for an evening of fine dining, entertainment and philanthropy in support of advancing patient care, research and innovation. The program featured captivating live performances from Grammy and JUNO Award-nominated artist Mark Masri and JUNO Award- nominated vocalist Patricia Shirley. Also, guests experienced a moving and breathtaking aerial performance by Maya Auchincloss; she shared her personal journey of receiving mental health and chronic pain treatment as a UHN patient through its specialized care programs.
