Villa La Massa Excellence: Celebration Of Automotive Power And Lifestyle

The exceptional event, Villa La Massa Excellence, returns in October, connecting threads between automotive beauty, modern lifestyle and Italian hospitality.

Located just outside Florence, in Italy, Villa la Massa, a five-star hotel, offers an elegant representation of Florentine history and slow living. One feature that makes this villa extraordinary is its celebration of supercars and hypercars during the Villa La Masse Excellence event. From October 17 to 19, 2026, the villa will combine the passion for automobiles with the best of Italian charm. The exclusive event is planned and executed in partnership with Canossa, the industry leader in producing premium automotive experiences.

From one-of-a-kind models to custom cars from the 1990s, the event will showcase the rarest cars to the public. Previous events have seen the Maserati MC12, Bugatti Centodieci, McLaren F1 GTR and Ferrari F40 LM gracing the lawns of the villa.

Following the success of the past, this year will see the showcasing of a collection of limited-edition cars from brands including Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bugatti and a few boutique manufacturers. And let’s not forget, this experience is always made more special because of the scenic views in the centre of the Tuscan countryside.

Villa La Massa, part of the same group as the renowned five-star hotel at Italy’s Lake Como, Villa d’Este, promotes automotive excellence through two prestigious events: this exclusive event of modern cars in Florence and the iconic Concorso d’Eleganza for classic cars at Como. Both events are rooted in the spirit of savouring life to the fullest, a sentiment underscored by the hotel website’s landing page, which introduces “The enchanting Florentine Dolce Vita” with links that celebrate Italian gastronomy and automotive power.

Says, Luigi Orlandini, chairman and CEO of Canossa Events, “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the Villa d’Este Group, a long- standing and undisputed benchmark in the fields of hospitality and hôtellerie. Canossa, in turn, is proud to bring its expertise in delivering outstanding events. Villa La Massa Excellence has, in a very short time, established itself as a must-attend occasion for enthusiasts of extraordinary cars.”

“Just think of Fritz Burkard’s Bugatti Centodieci, winner of the Coppa d’Oro, or models such as the [electric] Pininfarina Battista and the Maserati MC12, to grasp the spirit of this concours. This year, too, we look forward to genuine emotions and new memories to share with fellow enthusiasts and collectors.”

The Concours assembles a diverse and balanced jury with both men and women from varied backgrounds in art, culture, journalism and automobile design, with Massimo Delbò, renowned automotive historian and journalist as the jury president. The cars will be assessed based on design, colour schemes, interior refinement and aesthetic aspects, in addition to performance.

Along with the official jury, a junior jury, composed of children up to 12 years of age, and the public are also invited to participate during the event. With a special day pass costing €80, they can access the exhibition area, interact with the car owners and have the chance to experience the parade and awards ceremony.

At the end of the parade on Saturday, October 18, the Supercars Firenze awards ceremony will be held at Villa La Massa. There will be two categories with three winners each, one for the cars that have driven automotive evolution and the other for embodied innovation. The car with the best mileage and the one that drove the furthest to get to the event will also receive special honours.

As a tribute to the renowned Coppa d’Oro of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the prestigious prize of the Best of Show – Coppa d’Oro Villa La Massa will be awarded at the gala dinner, taking place in the opulent setting of Vito Mollica’s Atto at Palazzo Portinari Salviati in the centre of Florence.

In keeping with tradition, the event will close on Sunday with a stop in Monteriggioni, giving the public the unique chance to witness several of the remarkable cars in motion on the open road. Villa La Massa Excellence stands as a tradition of automotive excellence and Italian delight, making it a memorable experience for supercar enthusiasts.
