The Membership That Moves With You

Founded in Milan, The Robin is redefining the modern private members’ club by curating extraordinary cultural experiences and meaningful introductions across the world’s most influential creative capitals.

There was a time when the world’s most exclusive membership clubs were defined by a single address — a grand townhouse in London, a historic palazzo in Milan or a discreet salon tucked behind an unmarked door in Paris. Their value was rooted in place. Today, a new generation of global founders, collectors, entrepreneurs and creative leaders live differently. They travel for Art Basel as effortlessly as they do for Fashion Week, split their time between continents and seek communities that move as fluidly as they do.

That is precisely the idea behind The Robin, an invitation-driven membership community founded in Milan by cultural entrepreneur Natasha Slater. Rather than asking members to return to one exclusive location, The Robin brings exceptional rooms — and the right people — to wherever its community gathers. Active across Milan, Miami, London, Paris and New York, with an extended network in Dubai and Los Angeles, it has quietly become one of luxury’s most intriguing cultural memberships.

At its heart, The Robin is less about access than intention. Slater has spent more than two decades working within the worlds of fashion, music, art and design, cultivating relationships that extend far beyond traditional networking. Her philosophy is remarkably simple: the right introduction, made in the right setting, has the power to change a career, a collection, a collaboration — or even a life. Every invitation is personally curated by Slater and her team, never generated by an algorithm or determined solely by membership tier. The question isn’t simply who wants to attend, but who should meet.

That human approach has shaped a community of more than 300 members spanning contemporary art, technology, business, architecture, fashion and creative entrepreneurship. Whether gathering during Salone del Mobile in Milan, Frieze London or Art Basel Miami Beach, members encounter the same thoughtfully assembled circle of cultural leaders wherever they happen to be in the world.

The experiences themselves reflect that philosophy beautifully. In Milan, members have stepped inside Pirelli HangarBicocca for an intimate tour of Nan Goldin’s landmark exhibition before sharing dinner with fellow collectors. During Fashion Week, designer Luisa Beccaria welcomed guests into both her boutique and private residence for an evening that blurred the line between hospitality and haute couture. Elsewhere, curator- led visits to Miart, private access to 10 Corso Como and after-hours viewings of contemporary exhibitions transformed familiar institutions into deeply personal encounters.

Design Week offered perhaps the clearest expression of The Robin’s identity. Members moved from exclusive breakfasts inside Salone del Mobile installations to a TAG Heuer watchmaking masterclass, private cocktails at Thaddaeus Ropac and VIP access to L’Appartamento by Artemest — experiences impossible to replicate through conventional ticketed events.

Across the Atlantic, Miami becomes another chapter of the same story. Evenings unfold beneath the palms at ICA Miami’s Cartier-presented gala, followed by intimate studio visits with celebrated artist Federico Uribe and private tours of Dolce & Gabbana: From the Heart to the Hands. Wellness, too, finds its place through member Pilates sessions and relaxed dinners, designed as much for conversation as cuisine. Every gathering feels deliberately scaled, encouraging genuine relationships rather than crowded social calendars.

Beyond its events, The Robin has expanded into the growing world of first-generation art collecting through a bespoke advisory service. Members receive one-on-one consultations with leading art experts, private gallery introductions, artist studio access and guidance in building meaningful collections. It is a natural evolution for a community increasingly investing not only in objects of beauty, but in the stories and artists behind them.

Perhaps its most distinctive offering is its signature matchmaking service. Applying the same curatorial lens used for every event, The Robin quietly introduces individuals whose values, ambitions and creative visions naturally align. In an era dominated by digital connections, it is a refreshingly analogue reminder that extraordinary relationships still begin with thoughtful human intuition.

Membership is intentionally structured to reflect different lifestyles. Milan Legacy honours the city’s founding community, while Globetrotter follows members across multiple international destinations, ensuring continuity from one cultural capital to the next. Inner Circle remains invitation only, preserving the intimacy upon which the organization was originally built.

Looking ahead, The Robin’s calendar continues to mirror the rhythm of the international cultural world, with gatherings surrounding Art Warsaw, Venice Redentore, Paris Art Basel and Art Basel Miami Beach. Expansion, Slater insists, will never be driven by geography alone, but by the people who call those cities home.

In many ways, The Robin represents the evolution of luxury itself. Today, exclusivity is no longer defined by possessing the rarest object or belonging to the oldest institution. It is defined by belonging to the right room, at precisely the right moment, surrounded by people whose ideas inspire your own. And increasingly, that room travels with you.
