The evening honoured excellence across ten categories, presenting $32,000 in grants to women driving innovation in sustainability, diversity, mentorship, and global impact.
As in previous years, this year’s Women Empowerment Awards showcase the immense strength of the women they honour and celebrate the power of community purpose. Year after year, this event stays true to its mission of elevating, empowering and educating women, as well as delivering its promise of recognizing and celebrating exemplary entrepreneurship, leadership and social impact.
This year’s Women Empowerment Award ceremony felt immensely strong; by awarding over $32,000 in scholarships and grants greatness was not just recognized but also empowered. The event became more accessible professional and prestigious in collaboration with leading sponsors, such as Rogers Communications, Mantella Corporations and other supporters, including media sponsors the Dolce Media Group.
Congratulations to Dr. Alexandra Bastiany, Dr. Cindy Sinclair, Dr. Aditi Sivakumar, Christina Collura, Rashmi Prakash, Meera Mahadeo, Dahabo Ahmed-Omer, Lesley Hampton, Laura Suen and Caroline Thélémaque, who were all this year’s award winners. Guests who attended went home feeling more confident, motivated and connected to their own voices after hearing inspiring stories from this diverse group of award-winners.
The winners did a good job of illustrating the wide range of female excellence found in business, leadership and community work.
