Van Cleef & Arpels welcomes spring with new Lucky Spring creations in yellow gold, blue agate and luminous mother-of-pearl, celebrating the butterfly as a symbol of renewal and grace.
When spring comes to life, so does imagination at Van Cleef & Arpels. For 2026, the maison celebrates nature once again with Lucky Spring, a collection that reflects the energy and optimism of the season through radiant materials, expert craftsmanship and one of its most cherished symbols, the butterfly.
Originally introduced in 2021, Lucky Spring celebrates blooming flowers and lively nature and features plum blossoms, lily-of-the-valley buds, delicate greenery and the maison’s signature ladybug. The butterfly, a symbol that has been part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ heritage since 1960 and often depicted with open wings as if in mid-flight, expresses grace and lightness. The creations this year expand on these themes with the introduction of a new butterfly motif made of yellow gold and ornamental stones.

The 2026 additions include five new yellow gold creations, a long necklace, a Between the Finger ring, a clip, earrings, and a five-motif bracelet. Each piece is crafted using the ancient lost-wax casting technique before being reworked by hand and then polished from front to back, including the maison’s signature double-beaded contour, to make the gold shine from every angle.
The necklace displays the butterfly three times, once head-on and twice as a profile of each wing, creating an asymmetrical rhythm that implies movement along the chain. The Between the Finger ring offers a charming juxtaposition of a butterfly tilting outward between a plum blossom and a lily- of-the-valley bud, the motifs arranged on varying levels creating depth and motion. The clip echoes this lively palette, while the earrings frame their wearer’s face with radiant white mother-of-pearl blossoms, each centred by a polished-gold pistil. Completing the story is the five-motif bracelet, a polished expression of the collection’s joyful spirit. Designed to wrap the wrist in a rhythmic arrangement of butterflies, blossoms and foliage, the bracelet balances softness with structure.
The selection of materials remains key. Blue agate defines the butterfly’s upper wings, while green agate shapes the surrounding greenery. Only the most even and saturated-hue stones have been chosen, ensuring balance in a palette that transitions from soft to intense blues and greens. White mother-of-pearl, prized for its rare glow and subtle iridescence, brings softness and light to plum blossoms and lily-of-the-valley buds, resulting in a work of art that feels as though it has been gently touched by the first rays of spring sunshine.
With Lucky Spring, once again the butterfly takes flight, a perennial symbol of renewal captured in gold, artistic stone, and luminous mother-of-pearl. Celebrating nature’s reawakening, the collection offers wearable works of art that feel as fresh and hopeful as the season itself.
