In a city celebrated for its European-inspired architecture, vibrant arts scene and Michelin-recognized dining, Montréal rewards travellers who crave culture with effortless sophistication. During a two-night stay, Dolce experienced that same spirit of urban elegance at The Metcalfe Montréal.
Perfectly positioned in the heart of downtown, the 119-room boutique hotel places guests within walking distance of the Quartier des Spectacles, renowned museums, luxury shopping and the city’s dynamic nightlife. Behind its historic façade, however, is a remarkably tranquil retreat where contemporary design, warm earth tones and refined materials create an atmosphere that feels both stylish and restorative.
The Metcalfe’s greatest luxury is its hospitality. The service is genuinely attentive, allowing every interaction to feel personal and welcoming. Whether you’re returning from a day full of exploring or beginning the morning with coffee in the lobby, the hotel strikes a thoughtful balance between vibrant city energy and quiet comfort.
Dining is equally memorable at Benjamin Steakhouse Parisien, the hotel’s French-inspired restaurant. The lively dining room pairs classic Parisian influence with bold, contemporary flavours, making it as fitting for an elegant dinner as it is for a relaxed evening cocktail.
Additional amenities — including a year-round heated outdoor pool, modern fitness studio and versatile event spaces — round out the experience, but it is the hotel’s sense of place that leaves the strongest impression. The Metcalfe Montréal is more than a boutique hotel; it is an authentic gateway to discovering one of Canada’s most captivating cities.
