Celebrity Human Race
Every step we take in making the world a better place helps everyone enjoy a better life. This philosophy was personified by the participants involved in the inaugural Celebrity Human Race for North York General Hospital (NYGH). The money raised helps to purchase life-saving equipment for the Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Emergency room at NYGH, as well as aid in the expansion of the Child & Teen Program Centre. “Funds will enable our hospital to deliver the best health care to our community,” said Dr. Tim Rutledge, race participant and vice president of medical and academic affairs at NYGH.
Teams received a Human Race passport, celebrity friend, T-shirts and knapsacks containing tips and a map. They navigated throughout the streets of Toronto to secret locations, with scores determined by the combination of completed tasks and the accumulation of points. Regardless of who crossed the finish line first, everyone was a winner. www.nyghhumanrace.com
